Frequently Asked Questions
Error correction allows a QR code to be scanned even if part of it is damaged or obscured. Level L recovers 7%, M recovers 15%, Q recovers 25%, and H recovers 30%. Higher levels mean denser QR codes but better resilience.
Yes, but maintain high contrast between foreground and background for reliable scanning. Light foreground on dark background works well, as does the classic dark on light. Avoid similar colors or low contrast combinations.
For digital use (screens, websites), 200-400px is sufficient. For print, use 300+ pixels and export as SVG for infinite scaling. The minimum scannable printed size is about 2cm x 2cm.
The margin (quiet zone) is the white space around the QR code. A margin of at least 2 modules is recommended for reliable scanning. Setting it to 0 removes the border entirely.
The current version supports color and size customization. When using a logo overlay, set error correction to H (High, 30%) to ensure the QR code remains scannable despite the logo covering part of it.
